2004 ISAS Highland Games Information:

Our Heavy Events is a Pro/Am. We allow Professionals and Amateurs to compete in one flight.

We will accept the first 10 applications received that meet the criteria for entry. We will also reserve 2 spots for alternates. (All registration is done on a first come, first serve basis.)

Amateurs must have competition throws in the #56 WFD over 25' and in the #28 WFD over 56' during the 2002 H.G. season. (Distances in other events may be used to determine acceptance)

This event is a 7 Event Heavy Heptathalon

Expenses Paid:

Professionals: FSFC (Up to 5 athletes accepted)  Some Pro athletes may be invited at the request of the ISAS Athletic Board.

Amateurs: FCFS (Up to 10 athletes accepted)
Amateurs are paid a travel expense of $ .34 per mile, one way (this is the national standard rate per mile, this number is subject to change) up to $125.00. (Once again, there are usually local athletes that are more than willing to put up an out of town athlete for the weekend.) The minimum an athlete will be paid is $25.00.

Alternates: (FCFS Up to 2 athletes)
Alternates will not be paid a travel expense. All other amateur benefits mentioned do apply to alternates.

Athletes do not have to pay to get into the Games and there is no registration fee. This saves the athlete $35.00 in admission and entry fees. Alternates can compete but they will not be paid unless one of the 10 registered athletes is a no show.

Thank you.
